Purchased this book for my vacation reading. I was blown away when I realized what the title meant. I can say this is really a must read and it is an easy read. I found myself putting the book down just so I didn't finish so quickly.The author ropes you in the minute she starts telling her story, and you feel all her emotions. I highly recommend this for your end of summer read or your rainy day read you will not be disappointed.Product details

The Grave Wall is a well written account of a totally dysfunctional family caught up in the pain of addiction, unbelievable greed and complete denial of the truth. The failure of the justice system to right even some of the wrongs is unbelievable! I highly recommend this book, it'll stay with you.
You call my character a pill popping addict. Although i was 40 years of age the Character Waldo was only 16 when he lived with me and was again only 16 at the time of Turuks death. What you left out was that Waldo was another victim of Hassan. Hassan and Waldo grandmother were a couple. Hassan was Waldo legal guardian at the time. The family knew each other since Waldo was child. Waldo referred to Hassan as a grandfather when living with me. Waldo is lucky he did not end up in a wall next to Taruk. Who in real life was a woman beater. Hassan had all of Waldo information being his legal guardian. Find Waldo make a sequel he should write his story. Instead of where is Waldo ask where was waldo mom to leave her child with these maniacs. Do not make speculations about what happen that night you are not a detective.
I'm sure everyone can relate to one part or another in this story. Follow your gut feelings. Now to tell my friends about this book.
This book is an excellent piece of writing. It captures the reader and brings you into the story. A work of non-fiction in the style of a great suspense novel. While Reading you feel Wendy's pain, happiness, determination and her spirit. To hear the complex story of a period of her life as a mom, wife, daughter, victim and so much more, jump into this book with an open heart. Journey with Wendy as she takes you through a complicated mystery of love, drugs, murder, motherhood, and so much more. I recall seeing this story on the news, when it first broke in late 2008. Needless to say, I was shocked and found myself glued to the tv, as the story continued to unfold over the holiday season. So, recently, in search of a good book, it's no wonder I was no less than excited to have stumbled upon The Grave Wall, which instantly drew me in and peaked my interest to read on.
This book is amazing!! As a Bay Area native myself (Oakland, California), it was most intriguing to follow the storyline as if I was right there. Even if you're unfamiliar with the area, Wendy is well-versed and does an excellent job of sharing her story. She provides a factually-based account of the details leading up to the most unfortunate, shocking and unimaginable discovery... And after further looking into things myself, the facts are consistant, absolutely and unquestionably true. This is definitely movie material,I encourage the author to pursue this avenue.
Overall, I most definitely give this book two thumbs up, and would recommend that any and everyone pick-up a copy as soon as possible!!
An amazing tale of nasty people getting almost waway with murder. Well told and fascinating up to the very end.
When I read this book, I was so amazed. It was a great read and I read it in 3.5 hours!! It's full of suspense and crime solving. If you're into crime shows, especially Law & Order, this is the book for you.
