I just purchased this travel guide for an upcoming trip to LA-San Diego in September. Its a really nicely structured book with real tips and real experiences. It has some parking info, prices and many suggestions for visiting, eating, driving, walking etc. I would love to have more info about family travel or maybe a section which is designed for families with children (anyone not interested can just skip that part). Travelling with little kids can be challenging and many times and the help of the local ppl can be life saver.4 stars only for now - I like the book and I will update this review after I actually used it for out trip.

This 3 day itinerary is a good read whether you visit LA or not! It is full of great history, local lore, and insider's tips. This is a solid purchase for visitors to be sure but I bet even the locals will learn a thing or two!
I really like the layout of this travel guide, the author gives you a good idea about how much time and money you'll spend at each destination. It's great for a family traveling on a budget. I particularly enjoyed the tidbits of historical fact or celebrity references for each location. I would definitely recommend this guide to friends and family and intend to use it on my next trip to Los Angeles!!
